It's been a week since my last ride so today I went for a longer ride--it turned out to be just over 50 miles and consisted of a half-loop of Lake Washington with a loop around Seward Park and a pass through Medina.

I felt great and the weather was great. This time I actually managed to get through without eating anything during the ride. All I had were 2 bottles with Powerade, one of which I refilled with water. I had a pretty big breakfast about 45 minutes before I started riding. Normally I'd prefer to wait 2 hours, but it didn't bother me. One thing I will say though, if I haven't said so before, is that water by itself doesn't do it. I don't believe in the effectiveness of those performance pills which are advertised in Bicycling and other magazines, nor would I use them, but Gatorade or Powerade helps out a lot.

Total: 50.46mi Bike Ride (15.7mph avg. speed); 143.5 lb.
