I went to
Discovery Park for a late evening run around the ~2.9 mile loop around the park. I really like running there because the path takes you to the edge of a cliff from which you can get a spectacular view of Puget Sound. The sun was low in the sky and the view was spectacular as it usually is from that viewpoint but I forgot to take my cell phone and didn't get a picture.
The only problem with the run was that there was a pretty strong smell coming from the sewage treatment plant which is located at the bottom of the park. The only time I've smelled it before was when I went to the lighthouse at the tip of the park. Anyway, the northerly winds must have carried the smell all the way up the hill to the southern part of the park.
The GPS reception was poor because it was very green in the forested parts of the park. Maybe it's time to upgrade to the
Forerunner 305...
