I finally got off my butt and went for a long run. I had to do it with only just over five weeks left. I parked my car at Seward Park and left two bottles of water--one filled with an energy powder--and two energy gels inside. I stopped to get a drink at about 7 miles. I took one energy gel with me and ate/drank it at 10 miles. I didn't get back to the car until just over 17 miles into the run which was too long in between drinks. I really should have had it at about 14 or 15 miles at the most. The last five miles were pretty tough, but it was bearable. My cardio was good throughout the run except for the first couple of miles. I think I'm almost at the point where the ability to withstand pain in my muscles, joints and bones will make more of a difference than my cardiovascular condition in running a satisfactory time.

Total: 20mi Run; (2:25:52; 7:17 min./mi. pace; 2286 cal.; 147 lb.)
