Today was the best I've felt all year. I was going to run 10 miles, but after about 6 miles I decided to make it a half-marathon. I've been noticing a pattern: I feel good the first mile, pretty crappy the next three or four, and then great until the last two miles or so. Considering I didn't have anything to drink or eat during the workout today, I was satisfied with the results: I got just under an hour at 9 miles (59:55; 6:39 pace) and under 1:30 for the half-marathon. I didn't run the same route as
last time--it was less hilly--but it still had the same 200 foot climb at the end.
