Last Saturday I went for a bike ride with my girlfriend from her house to Seward Park. We looped around the park then went north on Lake Washington Blvd. until we got to Leschi where we stopped to get some water. On the way back, we stopped at another eatery where we had a sandwich and a beer.

I almost forgot--my girlfriend crashed on a turn. Fortunately she fell on grass. Even though it looked like a face plant, she only had some soreness in her arm and leg. As for me, my Achilles tendon hurt the next day. It even hurts today just from walking.

I'm still going to NY and I will attempt to finish the marathon. My goal is now 4 hours :-). I think if I rest the leg (week and a half to go) it might be feasible to finish it. Anyway, gonna give it a shot...

Total: 15mi Bike Ride

Today was the best day in over two weeks. I ran 10k and I'd say my tendon is back to 75% or more, so things are looking up but I'm still going to take it somewhat easy. I'll probably take tomorrow and maybe Sunday off and then try to get back to daily running on Monday. There are only 3 weeks left until the marathon, so there's not much I can do to improve my conditioning. The key for me now is to stay injury-free, have fun during the race, and finish it :-).

Total: 10k (6.2mi) Run

The injury is healing and I felt better today. Looks like taking time off has been very beneficial.

I ran a loop and 1/3 around Seward Park, then walked back with my girlfriend the rest of the way.

My achilles tendon is still hurting, so I'm taking more time off.

I've been out of town in Nashville. Today I went for a walk in Piercy Warner Park. I can't really consider this a run, but since I was in another city, I thought I'd post the map.

Total: 2.3mi Walk!
